AC and HVAC Installation Across Arizona
A new system is a fifteen-year decision, so every AC installation in Arizona we quote starts with measuring your home rather than pricing off its square footage.
Customized HVAC Installation—No Guesswork, Just Comfort
Choosing a new AC system is a major decision, but it doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. At Hicken Air, every installation starts with a no-cost in-home assessment: we measure your home, check insulation, and analyze ductwork to recommend the ideal system for your needs—whether it’s a large two-story, a compact condo, or something in between. Our certified, manufacturer-trained installers handle every step, including permits, removal of your old unit, and thorough cleanup, so you enjoy a seamless upgrade. Most installs are completed in just 1–2 days with our team on-site when it works for you.
The Rebate That Still Exists, and What It Pays
Arizona's rebate landscape changed at the start of 2026, and most contractor websites have not caught up. Here is the accurate picture for a residential cooling upgrade.
SRP's
Cool Cash program pays by the ton, and the tier depends on your compressor:
- Single-stage systems earn $75 per ton
- Two-stage heat pumps earn $150 per ton
- Variable-capacity systems earn $225 per ton
- The program caps at $1,125
Equipment must be rated SEER2 15.2 or higher and listed in the AHRI Verified Directory. Single-stage applications also require a Manual J load calculation, which we perform as part of your assessment. We file the paperwork for you and can apply the rebate as an upfront discount with a signed release.
If your meter is served by another utility, we will tell you that plainly rather than quoting you a rebate you cannot claim. Our
full rebate guidance is here.
Written quote before work begins
You get the repair cost in writing before anything is opened up. If you decline, you owe the diagnostic and nothing else.
Step 2
What SEER2 Actually Buys You in a 110-Degree Summer
SEER2 measures cooling output against energy consumed. Higher is more efficient, but the useful question is where the extra cost stops paying you back.

We will show you the comparison for your home rather than handing you a brochure.
- The federal minimum for our region is SEER2 14.3 on systems under 45,000 BTU/hr, which is the floor, not a target
- SEER2 15.2 is the entry point for SRP rebate eligibility, which makes it the practical starting tier for most Valley homes
- Two-stage and variable-capacity systems cost more upfront but earn the higher rebate tiers and run at partial load, which matters most in a climate where the system runs for eight months
- A high-SEER2 system installed on undersized or leaking ductwork will not deliver its rating, which is why we inspect ductwork before quoting equipment

Questions Homeowners Ask Before Signing
How much does a new AC system cost in Arizona?
The honest answer is that it depends on tonnage, compressor type, and the condition of your existing ductwork, and any company quoting you a number over the phone is guessing. We do a free in-home assessment and give you a written quote with the rebate already applied so you are comparing real totals.
How long does AC installation take?
Most standard installations are finished in one to two days, including removing the old equipment, pulling permits, and cleaning up. We give you the timeline in writing during your consultation.
Does Hicken Air offer financing?
Yes. We offer 0% financing for 18 months on approved credit, and it can be combined with the SRP rebate when your equipment qualifies.
Do I have to replace my ductwork with a new system?
Not always. We inspect for leaks, damage, and undersizing during the assessment. Sometimes sealing and reconfiguring existing ducts is enough, and we will say so rather than adding the line item.
